Introduktion till forskning (obligatorisk doktorandkurs del I), 8 hp / Introduction to research (obligatory PhD course part I), 8 credits


The obligatory PhD Course for PhD students comprises three parts:
- Introduction to Research, 8 credits (part I)
- Half-time seminar, 5 credits (part II)
- PhD Proficiency Course, 2 credits (part III)

It is mandatory for all PhD students to partake in the introductory course and part I of the course should be taken at the beginning of your education.

Introduction to Research (part I) include the following elements (subject to changes):
- Introduction to the PhD programme
- Theory of Science and Introduction to Research Methodology
- Research Ethics
- Orientation in Medical Statistics
- Communication of Research
- Information Retreival

This course (part I) is a full time course with two scheduled course periods, three weeks and two days long, respectively. Individual and group assignments will take place between these periods.

Introduction to Research, 8 credits (part I) is scheduled weeks 38-40 as well as 14-15 December 2017.
