How to write a competitive grant proposal - 3 day course
Grants and Innovation Office (FIK) offers a course on how to write a competitive research grant proposal in an efficient way. The course, consisting of three compulsory full-day sessions, will be based on the participants’ own proposals with a particular focus on proposals intended to be submitted to the Swedish Research Council (VR) or Formas during spring 2020. The course will largely be held in English and is limited to 15 participants. Course dates: 25 February 2020, 8.30 - 16.00 27 February 2020, 8.30 - 16.00 28 February 2020, 8.30 - 16.00 The course, in which we will focus on all parts of a proposal, and in particular on the research program/project description, is structured as follows: We, a number of research funding advisors from FIK, will give short presentations on the different aspects to consider when writing your proposal. Following these sessions, you will have time to work on your own draft, while we are on hand to give personal feedback. Each draft will then be collectively reviewed and commented on by us and your fellow participants. This will hopefully provide you with valuable feedback to further improve your proposal. Each participant is expected to bring his/her own computer to be able to work with and email us different sections of the proposal during the course. Please note that registration to this event is preliminary. Once the deadline has closed on January 14, 2020, we will select 15 participants. The selected participants will be contacted latest January 21, 2020. Target group This course targets researchers who are actively working on a proposal of their own intended for submission, primarily to VR and Formas, during spring 2020. We expect you to have a reasonable first draft prepared for the course. Questions? Please feel free to contact Meike Froitzheim at the Grants and Innovation Office (meike.froitzheim@gu.se) |
