Laboratory Safety Course (a two-day course)


This two-day course is for staff working in laboratory environment at the University, and for those responsible for the work environment of other staff/students such as managers and supervisors. Participants take part in both days.

The course aims at achieving a good working environment by preventing ill-health and accidents at work.

The course covers, among other issues, systematic work environment management and the environmental management system at the University of Gothenburg, risk assessment, chemical hazards, use of personal protective equipment, microbiological work environment risks; first aid, laboratory ventilation, flammable and explosive goods, waste disposal, etcetera.

The course is commissioned by the HR Department at the University of Gothenburg. Course coordinator is Anne Farbrot (Occupational and Environment Medicine - Sahlgrenska University Hospital and University of Gothenburg).
