Doctoral Induction


Welcome to an induction for all new doctoral students at the university!

The university-wide Doctoral Induction is held in English and is open for all newly admitted doctoral students. It is a complement to the digital introductory course for new employees and to the more specific doctoral introduction given at your department/faculty. The Doctoral Induction includes information about university-wide resources that could be useful during your doctoral studies. It is also a great opportunity to network with doctoral students from across the university.

The event is held on-site at Studenternas Hus. However, it is possible to watch the presentations online via Zoom (live stream) for those that are not in Gothenburg on the date of the event. Please be aware that the induction is designed to be on-site, so if you choose to watch the presentations via Zoom there will be some activities that you will miss out on.

Coffee and sandwiches as well as lunch wraps will be served during the event. Welcome packages will be distributed to those present at Studenternas Hus.

The time (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) is preliminary and an agenda will be sent out to registered participants approximately one week in advance. Registered participants that have chosen to watch the presentations via Zoom will also receive a Zoom link.
